Tazza's Canine Hydrotherapy

Est. 2025 and located on a quiet business park, Tazza's Canine Hydrotherapy is here to provide professional and positive treatment to all dogs, to aid in the rehabilitation of dogs post surgery and for ongoing maintenance of chronic conditions.
Canine hydrotherapy utilises the healing properties of water to ease pain and inflammation, build muscle and strength, build exercise tolerance and stamina, build cardiovascular fitness, and also rebuild sensory awareness and proprioception.
With all the benefits that water can provide, there are so many conditions that hydrotherapy can help manage, including:
-
Age-related changes/stiffness,
-
Osteoarthritis,
-
Cruciate ligament injuries,
-
Luxating patellas,
-
IVDD,
-
Hip and elbow dysplasia,
-
Fibrocartilaginous embolisms,
-
Degenerative myelopathy,
-
Weight loss and cardiovascular fitness.
Our Hydro Services
Initial Consultations
£55
The first step is for me to get a veterinary referral, which just means I need to email your vet to get them to sign off on your hydrotherapy treatment. After receiving a vet referral you will be booked in for an initial consultation. These typically last an hour and are a chance for me to get to know you and your dog, the condition they've been referred for, and what you're hoping to gain from the process. This will also be our chance to acclimatise your dog to the aquatic treadmill.
Hydrotherapy
£40
After your initial consultation, you will be booked in for hydrotherapy sessions. The hydrotherapy session includes a pre-hydro health check and catch up, sets and rest time in the tank, a post session shower, and drying time. Your session will be booked on the system as a 45 minute slot, however the session will usually last 35-40 minutes with the extra five minutes being for me to write notes on the session and tidy the clinic up before the next client.
Fitness
£30
Fitness sessions are suitable for dogs without any underlying conditions. The sessions are faster paced, lasting for about 30 minutes, and are great for dog's who might need to lose a little weight, or if you'd simply like to improve their cardiovascular fitness and stamina. Please note, veterinary consent is still required for this, however an initial consultation is not needed.
Sarah and Nala
My dog Nala had her first hydro session with Jodie & safe to say we will definitely be returning. Jodie was so welcoming, giving Nala lots of fuss & explained everything in great detail what she will be doing in the session with Nala. Tazza’s Canine Hydrotherapy is a great set up with parking outside the door, clean & well layed out with a seating area to watch your dog have their treatment. We have already booked our next appointment. Thank you Jodie!
Megan and Amber
I visited Tazza’s canine Hydrotherapy with my dog Amber. It was the first time Amber has had hydrotherapy, she is an old girl set in her ways and can be difficult to get motivated.
Jodie was excellent with her, taking time to coax her, all the time reassuring her. Amber eventually settled in well and really enjoyed the session enjoying the freedom of movement it gave her.
The access is fantastic as parking is literally outside the building as Amber doesn’t always enjoy walking very far unless there is food at the end of it😀
I have booked in another session as Amber definitely benefited from the session.
Thank you so much Jodie and Amber thanks you for your patience.🐶
